Mac Miller Talks 'Blue Slide Park'; Thankful For First Album
Pittsburgh rapper/AllHipHop.com breeding ground alumni Mac Miller has announced the title of his upcoming album will be Blue Slide Park.
Mac Miller, who is signed to Rostrum Records, the same label as platinum selling rapper Wiz Khalifa, is planning to drop his debut album this fall.
The 19-year-old rapper told AllHipHop.com that Blue Slide Park would be a concept album, although he remained tightlipped about the releases contents.
"All I can say about Blue Slide Park is that it's a playground in Pittsburgh," Mac Miller told AllHipHop.com. "I don't want to go too deeply into how that translates into an album concept just yet."
Those familiar with the park recall the castle themed playground equipment and a large blue slide carved into a hillside, where children frequently play.
Blue Slide Park follows Mac Miller's EP On and On and Beyond, which has sold over 40,000 copies since its release in March.
The rapper, whose videos have garnered over 85 million YouTube views, remained humble, despite the phenomenal success so early in his career.
"I'm just excited and blessed to be able to work on my first album," Mac Miller told AllHipHop.com. "I want to thank everyone who helped me get to where I am right now and everyone who has supported this from day one."
In related news, Macc Miller will launch a nine-date mini tour of Canada this month.
An international tour being scheduled to coincide with the release of Blue Slide Park.
